      Your Questions

      What’s your style of photography?

I call myself a Lifestyle reportage wedding and portrait photographer. That basically means that I will not tell you what to do, where to go, how to stand etc. I love to photograph “real” moments, and that means letting you be who you truly are. If I’m photographing your wedding day, I like to tell the story as it happens. I would hate to interrupt that.

      What areas do you cover?

I am based in Nottingham, but I regularly travel throughout the UK to wedding locations. For portrait shoots, my basic fee covers the Nottingham areas, however I do travel to London for a few portrait shoots per year.

How long will it take to get our wedding photos?

A sneak peak will be posted on FB and Instagram within a few days, followed by your online gallery between 2-5 weeks later.
Your wedding album is very carefully handcrafted by specialists, and takes about 4 weeks of production time.

Do we get all the digital images? How many will there be?

You will get all of the edited images. That will be somewhere between 400 to 700 images for a wedding, and about 100 to 200 images for a portrait shoot. All my packages, wedding and portrait, include edited images available for download from the gallery. Your images will be edited in terms of colour, tone and exposure.

Do you have backup camera equipment?

Yes. All my equipment are professional Sony mirrorless cameras and lenses that I work with every day of the week. I have backup cameras as well as backup hard drives (on-site and off-site) where the images will be stored.

      Do you have insurance?

Yes I do. I am a fulltime professional photographer, and I proudly operate as one.

      What qualifications do you have?

I have a BA(hons) Degree in Photography from the highly acclaimed Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. You can find out more about me on my Biography page.

      How do we book you?

Just use the contact page and let me know you’re interested.
It's always good to meet face to face and have a chat about your plans.
After that I will email you an electronic contract and an invoice for a deposit to secure your required date.
I look forward to hearing from you.

      Engagement Sessions

Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know each other a little better, but even more importantly to allow the couple to be more relaxed in front of the camera. I use this hour that we have together to go through a few “posing” techniques that I will be using during the Couples Shoot on the wedding day. This acts as a practice run, so that when the big day arrives and we go on our little shoot, the couple feel like they know exactly what to expect and what to do during their couples shoot.

      What You Get

It’s only me: You’ll never find an assistant photographing my weddings. If you pay for my time and talent, then that’s exactly what you get.

We meet: I find it very useful to meet up for a casual chat over coffee (or tea) to talk about all the details of your big day, and also for you to get a feel for how I work.

We shoot: I offer a reduced fee engagement shoot with my wedding packages. I find this shoot to be extremely helpful for those couples who aren’t super confident in front of the camera.

I edit: I spend a lot of time editing each and every image from your wedding to give them my own unique style and make them look perfect.

Online Gallery: You will receive a link to a password protected online gallery where you can browse through all your photos, download them all in high resolution, as well as ordering prints from a professional Lab.

And more: There are many more other extras such as beautiful wedding albums that are available. I am definitely not a salesperson, so I will merely be making you aware of what’s available to you during our meeting. No sales pitch anywhere in sight, I promise!

      Kind Words

Thank you so much for photographing our wedding on 1st June. We had the most magical day and your role in capturing that was incredible. We loved seeing the photos in the online gallery and then to receive the photos on the memory stick in the beautiful package was wonderful. You captured the mood, atmosphere and overwhelming sense of love we remember of our day. You have provided a journey of our day, from the emotions of getting ready, to the ceremony and to the super relaxed afternoon in the sunshine. We are so glad we asked you to photograph our special day and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you, you were a pleasure to have there on our day.

Mamad was the most fantastic photographer and captured our day perfectly! Such an amazing addition to the day and images to treasure for the rest of our lives! As two people who don't really like being photographed, Mamad made us feel so comfortable and most importantly relaxed! Thank you just isn't a big enough word! If you're going to make sure you get one thing for your wedding make it Twig&Vine!

"We really cannot speak highly enough of Mamad and his photography. We weren’t going to have an official photographer at all for our wedding since neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. However, when we stumbled across the twig and vine website and saw his more natural approach to wedding photography, we just knew we had to meet the person behind the camera. Within moments of first meeting Mamad we were not only stunned by his beautiful photos, but also warmed by what a thoroughly lovely person he is! Mamad understood exactly how we wanted the day captured and completely empathised with our reluctance to pose for photos we were extremely thankful that Mamad offered to do a engagement shoot, it really did make us feel more comfortable. On the day Mamad was an absolute pleasure to have around. The guests all loved him and he managed to beautifully capture the essence of the day without us even noticing the shots being taken. Needless to say, we would highly recommend Twig and Vine photography to anyone wishing to have their special day captured on camera. Mamad has truly given us some beautiful photographs to remember our perfect day forever."
